Spiritual Needs Screener  

To implement a structured Spiritual Needs assessment, motivation and time are necessary! However, an important argument from the clinic is that there is not enough time for specific documentation.

Therefore, a brief screener with 10 orienting items (Cronbach´s alpha = 0.86) was validated (Büssing et al., Dtsch Z Onkol 2020; Büssing et al., Spiritual Care 2022).

It focusses on 3 main dimensions and allow an easy implementation in routine anamnesis processes. It is not intended to replace the longer version, but to allow a rapid orientation which topics require further exploration by psychologists, Spiritual Care providers and/or chaplains.
